Nyando Social Justice Center Engages in Women’s Forum Promoting Peace and Coexistence in Nairobi

On October 25th, 2025, Nyando Social Justice Center was proudly represented at a women’s forum led by the National Chairlady of the Kikuyu Council of Elders, held at Two Rivers in Nairobi. The forum gathered women leaders from diverse communities to discuss advancing a peaceful political agenda and fostering coexistence among all communities in Kenya.

During the discussions, participants emphasized the importance of unity, dialogue, and mutual respect across ethnic and social lines as critical for national cohesion. Nyando Social Justice Center highlighted concerns about certain political leaders perceived as war mongers, underscoring the urgent need to discourage divisive rhetoric and promote responsible leadership.

This forum served as a powerful platform for women’s voices to champion peace, social harmony, and constructive political engagement ahead of future national events. It reaffirmed the indispensable role of women leaders in nurturing inclusive governance and healing societal divisions.
