On September 22nd 2025, Nyando Social Justice Center was represented at a stakeholders meeting held in Olasi Village, Eastkano location. The meeting was hosted by Ethel, a Catholic Church organization dedicated to supporting the elderly in the community.
During the meeting, Nyando Social Justice Center was invited to educate stakeholders on the rights of senior citizens. This important session highlighted the legal protections and social support systems available to older adults, aiming to raise awareness and promote respect for their dignity and well-being within the community.
The engagement emphasized the need for collective responsibility in ensuring that senior citizens live with security, respect, and access to essential services. It was an opportunity to strengthen partnerships and encourage proactive efforts to safeguard the rights of some of our most vulnerable members.
Nyando Social Justice Center remains committed to advocating for the rights of all community members, including the elderly, as part of our broader mission to promote social justice and inclusivity in Nyando and beyond.
