On September 19th, 2025, Nyando Social Justice Center participated in a gap identification forum that brought together education and health teams in Nyando Sub-County. The forum aimed to address pressing issues affecting children with special needs within the community.
As a committee member focused on children's rights, NSJC took part in the discussions to identify challenges and gaps in support services for children with disabilities and special needs. The meeting provided a platform to share insights, coordinate efforts, and develop strategies to improve access to quality education, health care, and inclusive support systems for vulnerable children.
The forum reaffirmed the importance of collaborative multi-sectoral approaches to ensure that children with special needs receive appropriate care and opportunities to thrive. Nyando Social Justice Center remains committed to championing the rights of children with disabilities and working alongside partners to create a more inclusive and supportive environment in Nyando Sub-County.
