NSJC Facilitates Peaceful Resolution in East Kano Land Dispute

On July 2, 2025, Nyando Social Justice Center played a key role in a conflict management meeting aimed at resolving a land boundary dispute in Eastkano location. The meeting, convened by the Nyando Assistant County Commissioner, brought together the two parties involved in the conflict, alongside community leaders and stakeholders.

As mediators, the NSJC team guided both parties through a constructive dialogue, ensuring that each side was heard and that concerns were addressed respectfully. The focus was on fostering understanding, rebuilding trust, and finding a peaceful way forward. These are core values that NSJC upholds in all its community support work.

The meeting concluded on a positive note, with both parties agreeing to maintain peace and continue co-existing harmoniously. This outcome not only averted further tension but also reinforced the importance of dialogue and mediation in resolving community disputes.

Nyando Social Justice Center remains committed to promoting peace, justice, and unity in Nyando and beyond. We thank the Assistant County Commissioner and all participants for their dedication to peaceful conflict resolution and for setting an example of how communities can come together to address challenges constructively.
