FIDA Kenya’s 40th Anniversary SGBV Reporting Network and Male Champion Engagement in Kisumu

On November 14th, 2025, Nyando Social Justice Center participated in an important SGBV (Sexual and Gender-Based Violence) reporting network and Male Champion engagement session hosted by FIDA Kenya in Kisumu. This event is part of the celebrations marking FIDA Kenya’s 40 years of dedicated service to women’s rights and justice across the country.

The session provided a valuable platform for partners and stakeholders to reflect on their collective experiences, share powerful testimonies, and discuss recommendations for advancing SGBV prevention and improving response mechanisms. Engaging male champions as allies in this struggle was recognized as a critical strategy to challenge harmful gender norms and contribute to community-wide change.

Nyando Social Justice Center is proud to be part of this milestone celebration by contributing its voice and efforts toward creating safer communities and promoting justice for survivors of gender-based violence.

Celebrating four decades of advocacy, FIDA Kenya continues to inspire a future free from violence and discrimination.
